Laidlaw & Laidlaw Design have extensive experience working on historic Botanic Gardens. The mania for Botanic Gardens in the 19th century swept across the British Empire, but in the Australian context this was never more embraced than in Victoria, where virtually every country town and city of any consequence developed its own ‘Botanic Garden’. Laidlaw & Laidlaw Design have gained significant enjoyment and satisfaction from working on many of these Gardens - both preserving their heritage significance and developing them into vibrant, contemporary public spaces.
